Sarx 057 is still to this day pound to pound the best watch ever.

It's a great watch. Like the Sub there are some *incredibly* good fakes made in China. The lug-to-lug is too much for a wrist under 7". The 3120 base movements (diver and chrono) are prone to ejecting the crown and crown stem, it's held onto the watch by a very small set screw. If yours comes off the watch, do NOT try to put it back yourself, take it to AP or a very good watchmaker.

My wife bought me one new back in the day. White dial with a great bracelet. It was on clearance because of the "scandal", which is the only way we could have ever afforded one back then. I think it's beautiful and it's still my favorite watch. Knowing the watch snobs hate it makes me enjoy wearing it that much more.

Add a third 12 hour sub dial, lose the date and that Daytona waiting list would suddenly be a lot shorter.

got this one....but the one on your video seems to be missing the red tip on the seconds hand......was the seconds hand replaced?

I had a subby and a Seadweller. Now I have 2 X Aquatimers instead. Just aesthetically nicer imo, and far more legible pieces. I'm a big fan at preowned prices though.

Very good review. I agree with most of your commentary. I like the watch but also now you would be aware there is the similar Quaranta (yes...now with 100m WR, so not so bad as the previous 30m but still not 300m, although it is probably thinner as a benefit for smaller wrists than PAM70). I am, however, confused about the difference between your PAM70 and the similar older 40mm blue PAM119. Any thoughts on that? I was looking for a 119 then saw this!

I just had it first time in my hand in a Seiko boutique. It felt great, it looks awesome and it is dangerously close to the luxury section of Grand Seiko. Honestly I don't see a reason to buy a King Seiko for twice the price. One employee said it might be that these models will not be delivered anymore, but he wasn't sure about. He though that the new Classic line might be replace the Sharp edge, which would be a shame. The red dial in the day light was just such a stunner and I think I will add it to my collection.

For me is the Laco Kiel 2 the choice to buy it is a company with a interesting history and a great quality.🎉❤

Really enjoyed your video and thoughts. This is the watch that got me into Tudor. I picked up my Black Bay Heritage 41 (2021 pre-owned)) 79230N back in February and love it. Got it at my local watch shop. First time hearing that this one was discontinued. Hopefully, it's not the end of an era. Personally, I do like the new BB monochrome. May pull the trigger on that one. We'll see. Anyway, again really enjoyed the video. Looking forward to watching your prior videos and looking forward to your new videos. Also, I subbed!

I got a modern 116503 with the champagne dial from my AD for USD 16.600 just a few years ago, but now new from the store is $22.900, so it's a win situation for me anyway.

If this was less chunky I’d probably own it.

I didn’t get deep into watches until 2020 just out of coincidence, no hype or influence behind why. Honestly, this is one of my favorite watches out there period. The humble yet very identifiable design, the earth tone green with gold to compliment. I personally don’t identify with Subs at all, but I do with this, & the fact that it can be had for 4-6k new is awesome. It’s a watch is like to own at some point this or next year.

Just bought one of these with the white face. My fav Daytona and I’ve got many of them.

Had the Subby and the seadwelller. Sold both for the Blancpain 5015 and the Cartier diver. Both levels above and much more attractive. I'm so happy with then. The Sea Q could be next.

Its a nice looking watch but I hate to say that the new Erebus ascend is a better looking piece and probably a better watch.
